I can spend days working on something, convince myself it’s perfect, pay the deposits, and 48 hours later my brain decides it’s all wrong before delivering the version that's actually right.
For years I thought this was a flaw. Now I know it’s my process.
Something about the pressure of completion blocks the real idea. Once I think it’s finished, the stakes disappear. My brain exhales. Now I’m ready for the creative process to really start.
If your process is slow or expensive, don’t trip. We all in the same boat.
Create your art by any fucking means necessary.
Just build a fire extinguisher into the budget for the fires your process starts.
